How can I get personalized help from you?

1) Help through emails

Sometimes, your question has a quick answer. When problems are complex, and require in-depth information, I may ask you to fill out an "iChart."

General advice is just that: general advice.  But if you are having a problem, more specific instructions are needed.

As a professional providing Internet support, I have learned to get as much information at the beginning as I can.  If send you an ichart [Internet chart] to fill out: It's lengthy, but it serves its purpose well. The ichart expedites the entire information gathering process. Getting such a complete history helps me identify any problems by asking the same types of questions an LC asks at an office appointment. I can't "see" you or your baby the same way I can in an office visit. The more complete the information you give me -- the more I can help you and your baby. The ichart may also tell me if you need to see your physician or local LC.

I have made arrangements to guard and protect your privacy. all icharts are stored outside my hard drive.

2) VIDEO Consultation through Skype is available

This technology is an excellent way that I can "see" how you and your baby are doing and make suggestions for your problem.

Skype is a VOIP* provider.  Calls made Skype to Skype are free, as is the Skype program itself. Skype also has excellent real time video transmission. I have been using Skype for lactation consults for over a year.

Don't have a web cam? Most digital cameras can work as web cams and they usually have a built in microphone. Web cams can be purchased at any store that sells electronics, or on Ebay. Contact me to set up a video conference.

The average cost of lactation consultation is approximately $100.00 - $150.00 per hr (USD). Because I am handicapped, I can no longer work in the lactation clinic, my current "practice" is limited to the Internet. I do not charge for email consultation.

However, if you feel I have helped you or your baby, you may make a donation through paypal using my email address. Your support is greatly appreciated.
